11 Arrested In Morogoro In Connection With Rape Case Of A 21 Years Old Girl.

Police in Morogoro Region, Tanzania are holding two men who were allegedly seen on a video clip raping a woman in turns at a guest house.

Regional Police Commander Ulrich Matei told The Citizen that the suspects were arrested yesterday (May 16, 2016) after the video went viral on social media.

He declined to go into details, saying they were still gathering more information on the incident.
Tanzanians yesterday reacted angrily to the video clip circilated on social media showing two men raping a woman as she pleaded for mercy.

The video went viral, with
social media users condemning the brutality over the humiliation suffered by the helpless woman, who was seen crying and begging the rapists to let her go.

While one of the men was taking a video and ordering the woman to take off her clothes, she was seen asking for forgiveness and begging the rapists not to take the pictures.

"I strongly condemn those who committed this crime, it's very inhuman. It's an embarrassment that we should not tolerate," Ms Mwalimu stated.

MY TAKE
This crime took place on May 4, 2016 and reported to the police station on the next day, but police force took almost 11 good days to arrest those suspects after Tanzanians reacted angrily to the video clip circulated on social media showing two men raping a woman as she pleaded for mercy !!! why delaying?

The Girl not only Raped and captured on video but also she was threatened that she will be killed if she will reveal the crime scene to anyone!! Well she did! she reported it to the police, that means she was in great danger because those suspects were walking freely!!

In the recent past, crimes conducted in the guest house rooms have been on the increase, like the one in Dar es Salaam, where a woman was found dead at a guest house room in Sinza, Kinondoni District.

The killing forced the Dar es Salaam City Council mayor to issue a directive that all guest houses must be installed with CCTV cameras in order to strengthen security.
